BACK TO SUMATRA
Yesterday, I showed you the provincial printings of Sumatra; today we move on to the semi-general printings of Sumatra. This here is a copy of the small overprint "Dai Ni Hon Yubin", which I think means Great Japanese Post. This overprint was used in Riau, the West Coast province and Jambi. You can find the overprint on its own but also in combination with the cross overprint of Riau and the West Coast province.
Another thing to look for is the colour combinations. The 30c stamp has a black Dai Ni Hon Yubin overprint in combination with a violet cross. The stamp below has both overprints in violet.
