Next year, it will be 50 years ago that the Regional definitives were first issued. You know, those stamps for the various regions of the United Kingdom that used to look vaguely like their national counterparts. Royal Mail will mark this with an issue in September 2008. Wonder what they will come up with this time. They didn't do much of a job with the Wilding jubilee, and somehow managed to ruin that great design completely. So, before your mind is forever poisoned with images of newly made rubbish, here's a regional in all its full glory, the Scotland 9d Wilding.
