Picture Gallery
Germany, 8 September 1994
The 100pf marking the death centenary of the physicist Hermann von Helmholtz. The stamp depicts Helmholtz, a cross-section of an eye and a colour triangle.
Combination of recess-printing and lithography.
Engraved by J. Kanior.
PS: A slight change to the picture gallery format is that from now on I'll only feature stamps that have been fully or partially recess-printed as in my humble opinion these deserve a gallery!
